Capriccio
Nougat Bar
Activating a dialogue between gastronomy and design, exploring materials and processes to create unique compositions that tickle the senses, the studio focuses on the key role of sensory perception in furniture. The sensual appeal of a nougat block lies in its fusion of textures, contrasts and complementary elements. By translating these qualities into furniture, the designers create functional sculptures where the organic quality of the wood evokes the raw beauty of nature, combining resin pulp with a tactile, earthy presence. Nougat emphasises the properties of the organic material such as knots, branches, shading, density, infestation or different ages. Each composition is created naturally with ever-changing ingredients, making repetition unrepeatable.

STUDIO HÖGL BOROWSKY was founded in 2015 by Stefanie Högl and Matthias Borowski and is based in Vienna. In their unique pieces, objects and products, the relationship between materiality and sensory qualities is fundamental. Matthias' fascination with technology, craftsmanship, shapes and proportions and Stefanie's fascination with spatial atmosphere, colour, materiality and storytelling intersect in an intriguing way. studio högl borowski has always balanced product and furniture design with sculptural objects, with the aim of conceiving, composing, imagining and presenting a sequence of sensations that excite.
