Lake Como Design Festival is a themed annual event that offers exhibitions, reflections and studies approached through a series of events in the city of Como and around the lake that bears its names. These exhibitions, talks and events take place in historical, unknown and almost forgotten places. The festival mission is to establish an original dialogue between history, design, architecture and art.

Since 2018, the festival has brought together more than 650 designers and galleries from around the world, attracted over 100,000 visitors—including industry professionals, local residents, and international travelers—and produced exhibitions and site-specific installations across a variety of venues, including Teatro Sociale, Palazzo del Broletto, Palazzo Mantero, Palazzo Valli Bruni, Palazzo Mugiasca, Museo Casartelli, the former Church of Santa Caterina, Casa Bianca, the Orsoline San Carlo Convent, San Pietro in Atrio, Villa Gallia, Villa Olmo, Villa Salazar, Villa del Grumello, Villa Anna, Villa Sucota, and Asilo Sant’Elia.
